Reality star Savannah Chrisley is the latest celebrity to endorse Donald Trump ahead of the 2024 US presidential election.
According to the Los Angeles Times, she went on the stage at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Tuesday to
express her support for the presidential nominee.
During her speech, she took the opportunity to criticise the “rogue prosecutors” who convicted her parents Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley of tax fraud and evasion in 2022, adds the source.
“72600019 and 7260119. These may be just numbers to you but to me, they’re my whole heart,” she said in her address. “These numbers are my parents’ identification numbers in our federal prison.”
She went on to say that a prosecutor in Georgia had called her family “the Trumps of the South”, which she didn’t deem as an insult, but rather, “[wears] it as a badge of honour”.
“Donald J. Trump has only one conviction that matters, and that is his conviction to make America great again,” she claimed. Trump was convicted in June, being found guilty of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.
